Debug Security#

Debug Framework on TI’s ARM based devices is provided to support software development, system development, debug and profiling for the devices.

Access to this framework is supported through a JTAG port. Since the Debug System supports profiling and development, additional security measures are needed to ensure that access to it is restricted. To enforce these security measures, TI devices have JTAG port locked for HS-SE devices by default. There is also an option of permanently disabling it via Efuse.

Debug Security#

To enable debugging on a secure device, the JTAG port needs to be unlocked. Refer to Unlock JTAG for a tutorial on unlocking JTAG.
